While the Hilux's U.S. sister has just been introduced in North America, there are already sketches previewing the eventual design of the next Japanese SUV. Known in other markets as Fortuner, the Toyota SW4 produced in our country based on the Hilux is one of the references in the segment of sport utilities with chassis and, as we told you recently, from 2024 will offer hybrid versions in the range. However, there are already fans who decide to go a step further and imagine what the new generation of the SUV inspired by the silhouette of the new Toyota Tacoma presented in the United States a few days ago could look like. On this occasion, the digital designer KDesign shared a series of renders of the possible generational replacement that would see the line in 2025. Although the technical specifications that the model could incorporate were not clarified, it is very possible that it will share the i-FORCE and i-FORCE MAX mechanics of the Tacoma or that the current mechanics will adopt several updates. Recall that the SW4 offered in Argentina is powered by the 2.8 turbo diesel four-cylinder in line and direct injection that develops a power of 204 hp and 50.9 kgm of torque, accompanied by a six-speed automatic transmission. While the date of arrival of the new generation of the Hilux and SW4 in our country is still unknown, as we told you in the preceding paragraphs, Toyota confirmed that by 2024 the range of both lines will be extended to hybrid versions.
