Honda ZR-V Ford Territory: which is more complete?

We focus on the main features offered by the entry-level versions of each model along with their respective prices. The arrival of the Honda ZR-V in Argentina is already a reality and promises to be the kick-off for new launches of the brand in our region. Among the main competitors are the Toyota Corolla Cross, Volkswagen Taos, Jeep Compass, Kia Sportage, to name a few. To better understand the reality of a highly competitive segment in our country, we propose a brief review of the main details that not only the new ZR-V has, but also another of its rivals, the Ford Territory. We chose to focus on the base versions of each SUV, ending with their respective prices listed on the official websites of each brand in our country. Coming from China and available in two versions, the SEL variant is the most economical of the Territory and is powered by the 1.8 EcoBoost Turbo four-cylinder in line that allows it to deliver 185 hp of power and 32.6 kgm of torque, associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. Among the elements that Ford offers are cloth seats, manual climate control with air outlet for the rear seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch digital instrument panel, SYNC Touch multimedia system with 12-inch screen compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, rear parking sensors, among other details. In terms of safety, the SUV includes six airbags (front, side and curtain airbags for the driver and front passenger), four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, electronic brake distribution, electronic emergency braking assistance, stability control, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, hill start, among other driving aids. On the other hand, the ZR-V produced in Mexico arrives in our country in Touring and LX versions, the latter being the entry-level version. It is powered by the 2.0 I-VTEC inline four-cylinder aspirated engine that develops 157 hp and 18.9 kgm of torque, coupled to a CVT gearbox with steering wheel paddles and front-wheel drive. Among the elements that stand out in this version we can mention cloth seats, digital climate control with automatic temperature adjustment of a zone, 17-inch alloy wheels, seven-inch HD instrument panel, integrated multimedia system (a seven-inch screen) with connectivity via cable to Apple Car Play and Android Auto, among other details. In terms of safety, Honda offers eight airbags (front, side and curtain and two knee), three-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidance, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, assistant ascent and descent on slopes, stability control and traction, electronic brake distribution, warning system that monitors the level of attention and driver fatigue in real time, among other driving aids. The Honda ZR-V LX is priced at $51,500, while the Ford Territory SEL has a suggested retail price of 21,024,000 pesos. Fuente: Parabrisas
